Mornings on the resort have many options to start; a brisk walk on the beach before the sun gets hot or there are beach pilates and or yoga class options at certain times . Pilates class was great for beginners. The instructor was helpful to guests to fix their form and posture to get the hang of the different poses and stretches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grand Velas Resort has two ocean front properties the Grand Class adults only ambiance and the Ambassador family friendly<\/strong>, ambiance. The third property The Zen is right in the middle of the tropical foliage where there is the world class SE Spa by Grand Velas;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SE Spa by Grand Velas Rivier Maya<\/a> <\/strong>has a Five-Star <\/strong>rating; it is a very prestigious designation with only six spas in all of Mexico having this premium five star rating. The SE Spa Grand Velas Rivera Maya <\/strong>is also known for its Water Ceremony <\/strong>,there is a holistic water ceremony which takes guests through eight experiences, first starting with a dry sauna room, then the cold room, then the hot steam room and then the exfoliation room. These are then followed with the cold and warm plunge pools and the large mineral bath and then finished with the hot jacuzzi and cold plunge pool. The whole experience takes about an hour and is complimentary with any spa service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The massage service has a slight Mayan theme with their traditional words and positive affirmation and healing affirmations are spoken and the massage is very healing .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
