Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait summarizes The Anaheim Packing District project: “The Anaheim Packing House is a beautiful community asset that will serve all of Anaheim’s residents and guests,” said Tait. “My thanks go to a multitude of community leaders who, over time, made the renovation of this historic building and Packing District even greater than we could have imagined. The Packing District will be a neighborhood place for the community to gather with family and friends, as well as giving us a place to celebrate our agricultural and entrepreneurial heritage. My congratulations to all.”
The Anaheim Packing District, located at 400 S. Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim, a unique gathering place for local food, drinks and music, includes the Packard Showroom, Farmers Park and The Anaheim Packing House. Built in 1919, the restored Packing House will serve as a culinary center that brings together artisan food producers and purveyors in a public market type setting. The Packard Showroom houses Anaheim Brewery and Umami Burger, now open. We began our journey into coffee working with producers of sustainable coffee in Central America, roasting that coffee in small batches out of a garage in Los Angeles. Today we offer coffee from major coffee growing regions focusing on developing direct relationships with the producers to ensure fair and sustainable practices and exceptional quality coffee. We roast our coffee beans to maximize their characteristics of origin.
We are committed to serving great coffees, Grown on Earth by Humans.
Dark 180 is a chocolate alchemist, the dark magician of chocolate.
During our travels through Italy, we frequently heard chefs pronounce the word ecco while presenting food at the table. Ecco literally means “here it is” or “lo and behold,” a testament to the quality of food and the confidence of the chef. And here it is, around the table where some of the best memories in life happen with good friends, flavorful food, and great wine. Bring your friends. Or make some new ones.
Walking into Ecco is like visiting a Naples pizzeria or your favorite local tavern. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a memorable meal or to share a drink with friends. You can hang out and mingle with the guests and the staff. We serve lunch, dinner and a late afternoon intermezzo.

One of the few remaining packing houses from the agricultural era for which Orange County is named, the Anaheim Citrus Packing House is a landmark in both County and City history. Built in 1919 at the edge of downtown Anaheim and along the Southern Pacific rail line, the Packing House was a hub of commerce for the area. Local farmers arrived to unload trucks of freshly picked citrus to begin the process of washing, grading and eventual packing into wooden crates. Once completed, the crated and labeled citrus would be loaded onto rail cars parked on the side of the building to be shipped nationwide.
The restored Packing House is planned as a food hall reminiscent of the great public markets of South America and Europe. These markets serve as a resource for the neighborhood (daily food production) and a community gathering space (restaurants and entertainment). The two level Packing House features a large central atrium with communal dining surrounded by cafes and kiosks of varying sizes as well as outdoor picnic gardens and a building-length dining porch looking out to the outdoor marketplace, Farmers’ Park.
