This summer, Los Angeles welcomed a new culinary hotspot with the opening of La Nena Cantina at The Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall. The official opening was on August 6, after a delicious tasting media preview.

This vibrant restaurant is the third location for the popular Mexican spot from the team behind Malibu and Hollywood favorites, Frida Mexican.

Created by restaurateur Vicente Del Rio, La Nena Cantina offers coastal-inspired cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, and signature dishes like tableside guacamole, mole negro, and tacos Malibu—each bursting with bold flavors that celebrate LA’s rich cultural scene.

The restaurant will be open daily for Lunch and Dinner . La Nena Cantina will also adjust hours for pre-show and special events, offering extended hours to accommodate lively performance schedule.

With 150 seats, La Nena joins other LA favorites like Abernethy’s and Kendall’s Brasserie, adding a fresh, energetic vibe to The Music Center’s diverse dining offerings. “We’re excited to bring our coastal spirit to The Music Center,” says owner Vicente Del Rio. “This is a unique opportunity to share our flavors with a new audience in a space that celebrates creativity and community.”
Rachel S. Moore, president & CEO of The Music Center, adds, “This new restaurant offers a perfect pairing of good food and gathering—complementing the artistry and energy of our campus. We can’t wait for guests to experience this vibrant new addition.”
